At MCAA, we offer art classes ranging from grade school to high school and adults. Our art courses can be taken as a primary art course or to complement school curriculums. We also offer assistance with portfolios for art and design college applications.

CREATIVE YOUNG ARTISTS
Ages 8-10
Students are introduced to basic concepts and techniques in sketching, painting, color usage and object structure through fun drawing activities and assignments. At this level, students will practice drawing from life and references, as well as be encouraged to express their creative ideas through a variety of mediums. Furthermore, they will begin to develop an awareness of overall drawing completion and presentation.

JR DESIGNERS
Ages 11-14
Teaches skills in perception, composition and light/shadow. Students will learn color theory, human anatomy/proportions, and other drawing basics. Creative expression through technical skills is highly encouraged.

ADVANCED ARTISTS AND PORTFOLIO PREP
Ages 15+
Students will learn how to to express their creative ideas over a foundation of technical skill enforced through demos and paintover critiques. They will begin to develop an awareness of overall drawing completion and presentation. Design Fundamentals and Digital Design/Drawing/Painting tools will be taught at this level.
